1:40(Björk and Jesse Kanda) |
London based visual artist, Jesse Kanda who had worked with FKA Twigs and Arca, teamed up with Björk talking about the same atmosphere they shared. The very first episode starting by the Iceland singer, "If I collaborate, I want connections, to be genuine, to be for real."
In their work in 'Vulnicura' and 'Utopia', Jesse Kanda explored himself as a director for music videos. On the album cover of 'Utopia', Kanda said "Depending on when you look at it, it can be ugly. And that's what I'm trying to do."
Born and raised in Japan, between the fantasy and reality of manga, Jesse built an organic world on his own. His little creatures can be naked and sticky; sometimes it can be a sacred dark angel.
Mistake is beautiful, and so is ugliness. From Iceland to Japan, the duo had expressed themselves and found the definition of beauty in works. Watch the video below.
